Screen Celebrates Outstanding Success at Ipex 2010

As the UK printing industry let out a collective sigh of relief when it became apparent that Ipex 2010 was a massive success, no one was more jubilant than Screen as thousands of visitors flocked to see its market-leading digital print, CTP and workflow products, generating orders that are expected to lead to sales worth around •7.5m worldwide.

Leading print industry trade show, Ipex 2010, has been a huge success for Kodak. Highlights from the event included successfully launching the Kodak Prosper 5000XL Press including a comprehensive paper strategy, generating a raft of Kodak Nexpress Digital Press sales, and showcasing industry experts in the K-Zone.

Fujifilm and Krause formalise
strategic UK relationship at Ipex

Fujifilm and Krause-Biagosch have announced a strategic relationship in the UK and Ireland. The two organisations have worked together for many years, resulting in a large number of CtP installations throughout the UK & Ireland utilising Krause equipment with Fujifilm Brillia plates.
This long-standing collaboration is now a formal relationship with Krause appointing Fujifilm as its UK and Ireland market channel. This follows similar moves across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.

Xaar Recognises Young Print Talent at Ipex

At the annual PrintIT! Award ceremony during IPEX 2010 Elena Knight, Marketing Manager of Xaar presented an Award to Madeleine Young of Wycombe High School for the Best Understanding of Printing Techniques.
The PrintIT! scheme, part of the ProSkills programme, aims to raise young students' interest and knowledge of the print and paper industry. Students research and analyse materials, develop designs and recommend print methods for a variety of FAIRTRADE marketing materials including posters and packaging.

Vakre og nyttige gjenstander blir lagd av trykkduker, og alle er unike takket være trykket i duken.
Trelleborg Printing Blankets har lansert en helt ny idé som kan være med å bidra til at brukte trykkduker ikke havner på fyllingen. Selskapet har, i kompaniskap med den italienske designeren Sergio Missiaggia, satt i gang med produksjon av en rekke gjenstander lagd av, nettopp - brukte trykkduker.

Mimaki receives two EDP awards

Mimaki, a manufacturer of wide format inkjet printers and cutting machines, received two EDP awards at the official EDP (European Digital Press) Awards ceremony at Ipex 2010.
The company's new compact UV LED printer UJF-3042, launched in January 2010 won "Best UV Curable Entry Level to Mid Range Printer" with the second award, for "Best Textile Printer" going to the Tx400-1800D - Mimaki's new direct-to-textile and dye sublimation transfer printer.

FFEI solgte mye CTP

Godt CTP salg må bety at det er liv laga i offset-leiren. Britiske FFEI gjorde det bra på platemaskiner, og var ikke helt forberedt selv heller.
FFEI er en britisk leverandør av blant annet platesettere, og på Ipex i år oppnådde selskapet et godt salg. Såpass bra var det at administrerende direktør Andy Cook ble litt overrasket selv, skriver printweek.com
